What are you passionate about?
I’ve asked myself that question time and again and discovered the answer is found in missing blocks of time. What is it I do where I forget about time? What is it I do that makes me wonder how I spent the last hour or afternoon? When I discover the missing time blocks – then I’ve uncovered my passion.
For me, it’s being surrounded by books. It’s sitting in a library. It’s being in a bookstore. It’s walking. It’s hiking. It’s looking at mountains. It’s learning Adobe InDesign. It’s writing in my blog. It’s taking photos with my handy-dandy camera that I keep close at hand. It’s sharing what I know.
That’s who I am and what I am passionate about. I love what the internet offers. I love finding web sites that inform, teach, educate and engage. When I find these types of pages I want others to see, know and learn too.
I’ve met some amazing people via my blog and I continue to learn from them. Their ideas, suggestions, struggles, successes, joys and challenges delight me in ways it’s hard to describe.
It’s a fun journey that sucks minutes from the hours in my days – minutes that teach, entertain and delight.
What are you passionate about?

We all need passion in our lives. It’s interesting that your passions can be experienced alone and with others. Nice balance. I’ll have to check out Adobe InDesign. You peaked my interest.

Hi Marge,
It’s been some time 🙂 I «re-invented myself» … new URL, title and I feel happy about that.
That’s a good take on what one’s passionate about — those blocks of time! The Web, that’s my thing. I just love it, when I find something new and shiny, that might even be useful … or just fun. Was thinking about it just this morning..

At six years old, I created a complete sentence and wrote it down. I fell in love that day and the words continue to flow.
“Blocks of time” turn into days.

It was quite a treat to learn InDesign in a classroom setting at a community college. Most times I just taught myself and therefore only learned the bare minimum.

The web is all about new and shiny, isn’t it? Of course, there are the ugly parts, the bugs and hackers and porn – but the part I love is the education, photos, stories, music, videos, and that kind of good stuff.

Hi Deb!!
Wonderful snapshots of library scenes. My favorite movie of all time (Shawshank Redemption) was included in this video. Loved it!

Oh Maxi, what a wonderful thing to do at such a young age. And what an amazing memory. Writing down a complete sentence at age 6 was just the beginning for you! Thanks so much for sharing this with me.
