Dance in the Rain

dance in the rain quote

Life is so much fun and yet there are some times when the  downs are too heavy and the ups too few.

It’s like taking lemons and making lemonade so that the bitter becomes sweet. It’s a way of life for some people – finding the good in all situations.

We get sick, we get well.
We get jobs, we get laid off.
We find what works and we not only dance in the rain, we chuckle…

And life goes on.

What do you do when the going gets tough?

  1. I think a short amount of time to say ‘woe is me’ only to shoot out of that realm with fist in the air shouting ‘Just try to take me down!’

Dancing and clapping helps to break thru the moment like nothing else!

  2. Famously, When the going gets tough, the tough get going —
    Me, I’m not tough.
I read a cozy mystery novel. Seriously, that’s what I do.
If the going gets really really tough — I’ll reread Jane Austen.
They’re my bomb shelters. (Winston Churchill read Jane Austen in the real bomb shelters in WWII.)

  3. What a delightful way to deal with stress! I usually write – and write and write. Then years later I read what I wrote and wonder, “How in the world did I get through THAT situation?!” Jane Austen sounds so much easier!
