The 4th of July weekend is similar to Thanksgiving. It’s a time to gather with family and friends. It’s a time to play games, walk your dog, blow off fireworks, wash your car, talk loud and fly your flag.
It’s a time to sing patriotic songs, watch Yankee Doodle Boy with James Cagney and go to a parade.
It’s a great time to mow your lawn, fix your sprinklers, paint your cupboards and weed your garden. (If you have time left over, let me know and I’ll fix you up with a whole slew of new weeds!)
What do you do to celebrate?

The Stanley Hotel in Estes Park is a historic building that has so much charm and has been the setting for a movie with Jack Nicholas (The Shining). It was a fun day!
