Life begins at the end of your comfort zone. –-Neale Donald Walsh
I love this quote. It’s where I’m at now learning new software, figuring out paths, recording the paths, communicating my findings. It’s all new, fresh and totally out of my comfort zone.
Know what I mean? Ever taken a chance on something that kept you on edge the whole time- wondering if you were crazy to do something so out of the ordinary – and yet – enjoying the newness of it all?
My trouble is when I’m ready for a change – I leap then look. Most of the time I overthink an issue. Then those other times when I want something different and I want it now … I leap.
Or I say Yes when I should just keep quiet. Or I make a suggestion which often means I get to lead the charge (or the committee.)
Life begins at the end of your comfort zone. When you step out of your regular routine, you get that butterfly feeling inside and you feel more alive than ever.
Like writing a blog. How uncomfortable is that? You put words down and publish them along with 200, 000 others on a daily basis! What is everyone writing about? And with all those writers, will anyone read, notice or care about mine?
The answer is – I care. It gets me out of my comfort zone and I continue to grow and learn.
And share!

right now I’m IN my comfort zone … sitting here with my computer, but I know what you’re talking about — and I loved every minute of it. I leaped then looked too, that seems to have changed somewhat though.

I did go and check it out but it looked like so much work … will you forgive me? I had to answer questions and then send it off to other bloggers and I dropped the ball.
Will you just stop by with a cup of tea and perhaps some coffee cake? Wouldn’t that be lovely?

What does that feel like? Are you always on the verge of something new or have you just adjusted to total newness? Like being around a toddler … always something new and different!

It’s so hard to turn back when you’re in a leaping position, flying through the air with the greatest of unease and yet — you do land and when you do – you figure it out. Eventually! Haha…

You are so good at just replying. I’m afraid I’ve done the same thing, and I hope the person who presented me the award isn’t offended that I didn’t do all the requirements.

This is a wonderful post!! It expresses exactly how I felt when I started my blog almost a year ago–so exciting and fun, and then I made a few mistakes and learned from them, survived technical issues–I don’t think I could quit now, as I’m building relationships in a lovely community where people really do care about one another, and occasionally we get to meet in person!! God bless you–love, Caddo
