Ever have those days when you don’t have a topic but you committed to writing so then you decide to post a photo instead? Well, good, because today is one of those days.
I’m including some photos of a drive I took last week on Interstate 80 to Nevada. Most of the time, the drive was stunning. The mountains and the highway were intermingled and it was difficult to drive and not stop the car to take photos at every turn…
I adore mountains and their strength, patience and spirituality joined me for much of the 1000+ miles. Some people align with rivers or oceans, others connect with fire or clouds…
I have a relationship with mountains.
And you? Do you have this affinity with something, some place or someone?
I have a relationship with beautiful landscapes and pass through Nevada on occasion when on photo safaris so much appreciate your sentiments.

I love the mountains, and these photos really make me want to take a road trip. During my youth, our family vacationed in the mountains every summer. I relish the memories and miss not seeing them very often anymore.

Love the water. But I’m gaining a new appreciation for mountains.

The mountains are so wonderful. They’re a place of refuge, retreat and spirituality. I love hiking on warm days when the underbrush and evergreens have a earthy smell. Time to gear up for a hike in the near future!

I have a relationship with the ocean. Perhaps because I grew up beside the ocean…
When I look at those beautiful mountains I’m always reminded of a song with LeeAnn Womack .. «I hope you’ll Dance»..

I Hope You Dance lyrics
I hope you never lose your sense of wonder
You get your fill to eat
But always keep that hunger
May you never take one single breath for granted
God forbid love ever leave you empty handed
I hope you still feel small
When you stand by the ocean
Whenever one door closes, I hope one more opens
Promise me you’ll give faith a fighting chance
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
I hope you dance
I hope you dance
I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance
Never settle for the path of least resistance
Living might mean taking chances
But they’re worth taking
Lovin’ might be a mistake
But it’s worth making
Don’t let some hell bent heart
Leave you bitter
When you come close to selling out
Reconsider
Give the heavens above
More than just a passing glance

Oh yes, there is a place with which I have great affinity, and I’m visiting there in the very near future – so watch out for pictures in the very near future. My place involves mountains too, but quite different from you photograph today. Isn’t the world wonderful? So many views in so many different places.
