Come Down from the Blog Cloud!

Blog writing is an amazing experience and allows me to showcase books, conferences, photos, videos and get your ideas and comments. However, what’s really important is to continue to find ways to interact face-to-face.  I’ve met wonderful people all over the world … and would love to meet up with some of them for a hot cup of tea. Think we can make that happen?

Perhaps we can discuss books? Or take a walk and exchange ideas on gardening, children, writing or singing. That’s the wonder of personal engagement… it just flows, doesn’t it?

Are you a small business owner? What’s that like? Do you make jewelry, write books, paint houses, dig ditches? Do you ever wonder what it would be like to meet and discuss with others who share your interests?

Maybe we can have Skype meetings? Share videos? Create podcasts? Send postcards?

Or maybe we just keep sharing our words right here and now. What do you think?

Funny that you should write this. Tried to have a drink with a blog buddy when I was in London but we couldn’t coordinate our schedules. I was really bummed.
Skype’s not a bad idea though. Wanna Skype?

  2. You offer some wonderful ideas. Would love to skype, but I don’t know how. I have a web cam but have never used it. I even have a skype address. . .I think. Or if anyone is in the area, a cup of coffee or a quaint book shop would be a great, too.

I love the idea of podcasting and skype – I wonder if you could have a group call around theme? Discussing books, gardening tips and the like sounds great to me 🙂

  4. There’s another platform, called Oovoo that allows more than one person to be seen in a conversation (with Skype, it’s only you and me) and if you upgrade you can have conversations with 5 other people… way cool!

So, you could easily gather together and discuss various topics and create a community. What a very clever idea!
